Obviously to be the best in any industry you have to know the most. Knowledge is power and it is no different in the gaming industry. And the best kind of knowledge is first hand, your own experiences. What I am trying to say is you need to experience as much as you can. Of course experience in gaming is basically just playing games of all shapes and sizes.To get a strong foot hold in the industry you need to know your stuff so try signing up to gaming forums and try and keep an eye on the gaming companies to see when job openings are available. This step is mostly just playing games and learning the community.

Now you have been playing games and actively participating in the gaming side of games now it is time to look at the creation process. It's always handy to know how a game is created, this lets you know where you stand if you are testing a game.
This step is as simple as jumping on Google and looking up game creation. See the steps involved and find out where you fit in. This will tell you just where the game is at when you get at it so you know what to expect and work towards my quality reviews for the company.

Step 3: In depth learning
Obviously this step is not necessary but can really help you along. Learn a computer language and get some basics skills in coding drawing and other general computer skills.
This step is only really necessary if you are looking to break into the industry to become an actual developer.

Step 4: The resume
Just like any job you need to have a resume. Not just any resume a great resume. Now obviously if you have no experience then you are not going to be able to have an amazing resume but the presentation should still be top notch.
Make it stand out visually. Don't just have text and a few headings saying how much of your life you have wasted playing video games make it look professional and say how much of your life you have spent enjoying and playing video games. A strong visual and well setup resume will set you apart from the rest

Now comes the application process. This basically involves you submitting your resume to as many game companies as possible. The key here is to never think you're not good enough for the job. If you think it's out of your league, apply anyway you might get lucky. How do you find these companies you may wonder? Well the easiest way is to sign up for one of the guide sites and it will offer a list of potential job offers
